Salary and Benefits
Scale of Pay:
Junior Assistant (grade-III): Pay Band-2 (Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- per month) with grade pay of Rs. 5,600 and other allowances as per rules.
Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) Grade-IV: Pay Band-1 (Rs. 12,000/- to Rs. 52,000 per month) with grade pay of Rs. 3,900 and other allowances as per rules.
Essential Qualifications
Education Qualification:
- Junior Assistant: Candidate must have passed Bachelor’s Degree from any government recognised University and must have minimum 6 (six) months Diploma in Computer Application.
- Multi Tasking Staff (MTS): Must have passed Class VIII from any government recognised Board or Institute.
Age Limit:
- Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years of age on 01st January, 2024. The Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 3 years for Ex-Servicemen and 10 years for PwBD candidates.
Other Terms and Conditions
- Citizenship: Candidates must be an Indian citizen as defined in article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
- Domicile: Candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Employment Exchange: Candidates must have an Employment Exchange certificate of Assam.

Selection Criteria for Grade-III:
Part-1:
Written Test (150 marks)
Syllabus: General English - 50 marks, General Knowledge -50 marks on topics of History, Geography and culture of Assam and Arithmetic - 50 marks.
Part-II:
Computer Test - 50 marks
Selection Criteria for Grade-IV:
Written Test - 50 marks
Syllabus: Assamese Language (30 marks), General Knowledge - 20 marks ( History, Geography and Culture of Assam)
