Essential Qualifications
Forester-I: At Least Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a govt. recognised University.
Forest Guard: At Least Higher Secondary (10+2) or its
equivalent.
Salary and Benefits
Forester-I: Pay Band-2 (Rs. 14,000 - 49,000) plus Grade Pay of Rs. 6,200/- and other allowances as per Govt. rules.
Forest Guard: Pay Band-2 (Rs. 14,000 - Rs. 49,000) plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5,600/- and other allowances as per Govt rules.
Other Terms and Conditions
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 to 25 years of age on 1st January, 2024. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5yrs for SC/ST and 3yrs for Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates.
- Reservation: The reservation will be as per Sixth Scheduled area norms.
- Domicile: Candidates only from Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) area need to apply.
- Fees: application fees of Rs. 150 for general/OBC/MOBC candidates and Rs. 100 for SC/ST candidates need to be paid through treasury challan in favour of the Principal Secretary, BTC, Kokrajhar payable at Kokrajhar Treasury office only under the Head of Account-8443 Civil Deposit, Personal Deposit, BTC.

Application Process
The application process for the recruitment of BTR Forest Recruitment 2024 is manual only. The complete application form duly filled up by the candidates with relevant documents should be submitted to The Member Secretary, Central Selection Board (CSB), BTC, Post Office Road, Kokrajhar, BTC (Assam), Pin-783370 on or before 3rd April, 2024 during office hours.
List Documents
- Copies of all educational certificates from HSLC onwards along with professional or experience certificates.
- Copy of Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates.
- Copy of Certificate of Municipal Board/Town Committee for urban and from VCDC certificate for rural area duly countersigned Revenue Circle/Block Development Officer to be submitted as proof of permanent residence.(need only for other than SC/ ST/ OBC/ MOBC candidates).
- Photograph: Candidate must furnish 2(two) copies of recent passport size photograph signed across by the candidate along with the application form.
Exam Pattern
The mode of examination for the positions of Forester-I and Forest Guard will be in three stages:
- Written Test: The offline written examination will be for 3 hours covering topics on General Mathematics and general english of Higher Secondary standard for Forester-I and Class-10 standards for Forest Guard.
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT): A physical fitness test consisting of 26 km’s for Male and 16 km’s for female walking to be completed within 4 hours followed by a medical examination will be conducted for both posts.
- Viva -Voce Test
