Name of Positions: Grade I Signal, Grade III Blacksmith, Grade III Bridge, Grade III Carriage, Grade III Crane Driver, Grade III Diesel Electrical, Grade III Diesel Mechanical, Grade III Electrical, Grade III TRS, Grade III EMU, Grade III Fitter, Grade III Permanent Way, Grade III Refrigeration, Grade III Riveter, Grade III S & T, Grade III Track Machine, Grade II Turner, Grade III Welder.
Essential Qualifications
Technician Grade I Signal: B. Sc in Physics/ Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology/Instrumentation from a recognised University or Institute.
Technician Grade III: Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trade of related fields or course completed Act Apprenticeship in the related trade field.
Salary and Benefits
Technician Grade I Signal: Level-5 (Rs. 29,200 - 92,300
Technician Grade III: Level-2 (Rs 19,900 - 63,200
Other Terms and Conditions
- Age Limit: Candidate age must be between 18 to 36 years of age for Technician Grade I Signal and 18 to 33 years for Technician Grade III posts. Please see the official notification for details of age relaxations.
- Medical Fitness: Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the prescribed medical standards for the posts they are applying for.
- Candidates must have their own active mobile number and a valid email id for all communication during the entire duration of recruitment.
- Selected candidates who are finally appointed, are liable for active service in the Railway Engineers Unit of the Territorial Army.
- Free Train Travel Facility: Free Sleeper Class Railway Pass admissible to SC & ST candidates, will be provided with their e-call letter for various stages of selection.
- Examination Fees: Application fees of Rs. 500/- and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/female/transgender/Ex-Servicemen candidates need to be paid for appearing in CBT.

- Closing date for submission of application: 08th April, 2024.
- Dates of modification window for correction in application form: 09th April, 2024 to 18th April, 2024.
Application Process
Candidates should apply only through ONLINE mode through any of the official websites of the RRBs listed below. Candidates can apply to only one RRB for a pay level and only one common ONLINE application should be submitted by the candidate in a pay level. The selection of RRB once exercised shall be final. Interested candidates can apply from 09th March, 2024 to 08th April, 2024.

Computer Based Test (CBT):
Pattern & Syllabus of CBT for Technician Gr I Signal:
- Total Duration: 90min
- Total Questions: 100
- There shall be negative marking @ 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.
- Syllabus: General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic of Computers, Mathematics, Science and Engineering.
Pattern & Syllabus of CBT for Technician Gr III:
- Total Duration: 90 min
- Total Questions: 100
- There shall be negative marking @ 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.
- Syllabus: Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Science, General Awareness.
Document Verification (DV):
Candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification based on their marks and merit in the CBT for the respective Pay Levels.
