About BRM Government Model College -

Bir Raghab Moran(BRM) Government Model College in Doomdooma was established by the Government of Assam on March 7, 2020. The primary goal is to enhance access, quality, and equity in higher education in Assam. Aligned with the centrally sponsored scheme of Model Degree Colleges, the government initiated the creation of educational institutions to address the higher education needs.

Based on a nationwide survey of Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) or Gross Enrollment Index (GEI), educationally backward districts (EBDs) were identified. These districts share the characteristic of having GER lower than the national average. Assam has 12 such EBDs, with Tinsukia being one of them.

Educational Qualification

(1) Library Assistant & Junior Assistant -

Candidates for the post of Asstt. Library and Junior Asstt. must have a Bachelor Degree from a recognised University or any examination declared equivalent by the Government. Have a Computer skills from a recognised institute for handling data and text on computer.

Desirable: Candidates having working experience in similar fields are desirable.

(2) Library Bearer, Grade IV & Chowkidar -

Minimum qualification requires for Library Bearer, Grade IV and Chowkidar is Class VIII Passed.

Desirable: Applicant with valid Driving license is desirable for one Grade IV posts.

Other Eligibility Criteria -

The candidates must have a proof of residence and proficiency in local language. Candidates who are in service may apply through proper channel with No objection Certificate (NOC) from the appointing authority.

Age Limit -

The age of the candidates for grade III and Grade IV posts of BRM Govt Model College, Doomdooma is at least 18 years and should not be more than 40 years in case of General Candidates, 43 years in case of OBC/MOBC categories and 45 years for Schedule Tribe (Plain) candidates.

Application Fee -

A non-refundable amount of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) is payable for the BRM Govt College, Doomdooma Recruitment.

Selection Process of BRM, Doomdooma Grade III and Grade IV Recruitment

Candidates whose applications are found to be in order, meeting the specified requirements, will be invited to participate in a written test as part of the selection process. The place and date will notified in due course.

There will be two separate Common test, one for all Grade III posts (Assistant Library & Junior Assistant) and another for all Grade IV Posts (Library Bearer, Grade IV and Chowkidar).

All qualified candiates in the written test will further called for a computer test/viva-voce as per Government guideline. The date will notified later on and candidates have to appear in such test at their own expenses.
