Bihar STET: State Teacher Eligibility Exam 2024 Online Form

Bihar STET Short Information: Notification for Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test (STET), 2024 is published from the Director's Office of the Secondary Education Department of Patna. Candidates who are interested in a teaching job may appear for the examination by submitting an online form before January 2, 2024.

Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will conduct Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) in two categories: Secondary and Higher Secondary. Paper-I covers subjects for Secondary classes, while Paper-II is designed for Higher Secondary classes.

    Bihar STET Eligibility Criteria

    Paper-I (Secondary Level):

    Educational Qualifications:

    • Passed Graduation or Post Graduation or its equivalent from a recognised university with at least 50 % marks in the specific subject and passed B.Ed from a recognised institute. Or
    • Bachelor Degree / Master Degree with at least 45% marks and B.Ed from a recognised Institute. Or
    • Four-year degree of B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed in a specific subject from any institute recognised by NCTE.

    Paper-II (Higher Secondary Level):


    Educational Qualifications:

    • Post Graduate from a recognised university with at least 50 percent marks in the specified subject and B.Ed from an institution recognised by NCTE.
    • Post Graduate or its equivalent with at least 45 percent marks from a recognised university and NCTE and Graduation in B.Ed.
    • Post Graduate or its equivalent in specified subject with at least 50 percent marks from a recognised university and B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed from any institute recognised by NCTE.
    • Post Graduate in specified subject with minimum 55 percent marks or its equivalent grade and 3 years integrated B.Ed / M.Ed.

    Age Limit:

    The age limit for the candidates to appear in Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET), 2024 is at least 21 years and not more that 37 years as on August 01, 2024. Maximum age limit for quota wise categories are as – Female(Unreserved) – 40years, Backward Class – 40 years, Scheduled Caste (ST)- 42years, Scheduled Tribe(ST)- 42 years.


    Selection Procedure of Bihar STET 2024

    Computer Based Test (CBT): The competitive examination of Bihar State Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) for the years 2024 will be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT) method. The duration of STET Computer Based Test (CBT) method will be of 150 minutes (2.30hrs).

    Application Process of Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET), 2024

    To appear in the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET), 2024 of Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), candidates have to submit examination application form. The same will be accepted only through online from 14-12-2023 to 02-01-2024 only from the candidates possessing the prescribed qualifications.


    Candidates can apply online from the official website of Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB).Before filling the online application; applicants should ensure that they have their own working email Id and mobile number.


    The Application process will be completed in three stages:

    (i) Registration: At first candidate should register as a new candidate by their email or mobile number.


    (ii) Form Filling: After Registration, applicants can login to the online form section and can fill their details. Follow the instructions and read carefully.


    (iii) Fee Payment: After filling the application form, the option to make payment will open. After that, you will ensure payment by selecting one of the selected payment gateways. Payment of examination fee is allowed though debit card/credit card/UPI or other digital wallet.
