    • Nationality:The candidate must be a citizen of India as defined in Articles 5–8 of the Constitution of India and a permanent resident of Assam..
    • Proof of Residence:The candidate has to produce a Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) or Employment Exchange Registration Certificate of Assam as proof of residency.
    • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have at least one essential qualification form the list below -
    • Graduate in Arts/Science/Commerce having Philosophy/Education with Psychology/Economics from a government recognised University.
    • Graduate in Arts/Science/Commerce and a Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Social Works/Labour & Social Welfare /Sociology/Anthropology/Criminology from a University.
    • Graduate in Child Development /Home Science/Nutrition from a recognised University.


    • Age: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on January 01, 2023. Upper Age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST candidates, 03 years in case of OBC/MOBC candidates and 10 years for Persons with benchmark disability (PwBD) candidates.
    • Small Family Norms: Candidates have to submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A as prescribes by the government of Assam at the time of applying for the post.
    • Application / Processing Fee: for General Candidates – Rs. 297.20/- (application fee + processing fee + Tax), for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates – Rs. 197.20/- (application fee + processing fee + Tax), for BPL/PwBD candidates – Rs. 47.20/- (application fee + processing fee + Tax).


    Application Process for APSC Online Post of Child Development Officer and Allied Cadre

    To engage as Child Development Officer in Women and Child Development Department of Assam, candidates have to submit their application form online. The same will be accepted  online from 19-12-2023 to 18-01-2024.
