Key Details of PHE Department Assam Recruitment
Name of the Post: (a) Assistant Engineer (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical) and (b) Junior Engineer (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical)
No of Posts: 81 (eighty one) nos in Assistant Engineer and 264 (two hundred and sixty four) nos in Junior Engineer.

Base Salary:
(i) Assistant Engineer - 30,000 - 1,10,000 INR plus other allowance.
(ii) Junior Engineer- 14,000 - 70,000 INR plus other allowance.
Application Fees: Rs. 297.20 for General, Rs. 197.20 for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC, Rs. 47.20 for BPL and Rs. 47.20 for PwBD candidates.
Eligibility criteria for PHED Assam Positions
Eligibility
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- The candidate must produce PRC or Employment Exchange Registration certificate of Assam for proof of residency.
Education Qualification
- For Assistant Engineer - BE/B. Tech in civil engineering / BE/B. Tech in mechanical engineering / BE/B. Tech in electrical Engineer / BE/B. Tech in chemical engineering from any institute recognized by AICTE.
- For Junior Engineer- 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Chemical Engineering
Age Limit
The candidates should not be less than 21 years for Assistant Engineer and 18 years for Junior Engineer and not more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2023.
